Frequently Asked Questions

How large is your herd?

Our target is an average of 25 cow/calf pairs with a selection of offspring to sell.

What is your feeding program?

Our feeding program is strategically designed to maximize structural soundness, rumen health, and longevity. We focus on consistent growth so that our cattle transition seamlessly to your pasture or into a show ring feeding program.

The Main Herd: Our cattle are primary grass-raised, utilizing intensive grazing management. During the winter months, we supplement their diet with high-quality hay and protein tubs to maintain optimal body condition and meet their nutritional requirements.

Nursing Calves: To support early growth alongside milk, calves have free-choice access to a well-balanced creep feed, ensuring they get a head start on optimal development.

Weaned Calves: Once weaned, our young stock returns to a grass-based system supplemented with targeted protein, promoting lean muscle growth and structural soundness without excess fat.

How do you offer your cattle for sale?

By Private Treaty or at Regional Breed Sales.

What is your herd health program?

We maintain a strict, proactive health protocol across our entire operation. By partnering closely with a local licensed veterinarian, we ensure comprehensive health care and a robust immune foundation for every animal we raise.

Semi-Annual Protocols: Our entire herd undergoes semi-annual health evaluations and vaccinations. This rigorous schedule keeps our cattle protected against regional diseases and ensures optimal reproductive health.

Mother Cows: Our cow herd receives targeted pre-breeding and pre-calving protocols to ensure they pass high-quality colostrum and strong maternal immunity down to their calves.

Developing Calves: From birth through weaning, calves are monitored and kept on a strict vet-approved vaccination schedule to minimize stress and prevent respiratory or clostridial diseases.

Yearling Bulls & Heifers: Our replacement heifers and performance bulls receive complete yearling health checks. They leave our ranch fully sound, up-to-date on all shots, and structurally ready to perform for your operation.
